Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains – Trek to Dinsho Forest

  • Early morning drive from Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains (approx. 7–8 hours).

  • En route, stop for coffee and photo opportunities at the Rift Valley Lakes.

  • Arrive at Dinsho, the park’s headquarters — register and meet your local guide.

  • Begin your first trek through Dinsho Forest, home to warthogs, Menelik’s bushbucks, and colorful birds.

  • Dinner and overnight camping/lodge in Dinsho.

  • After lunch, drive back to Addis Ababa with scenic views along the route.
